Build a high-capacity road, including a new bridge over the Magdalena River in Barranquilla. This new bridge meets the need of a crossing point over the river with sufficient capacity for traffic but also the size required by the growing demands of the river traffic.

  • Total length of 2270 m, and includes a 690 m long cable-stayed section.
  • consists of a central span of 380 m, which gives permission to welcome new waterways , and two compensation spans of 155 m each.
  • The new bridge has a 45 m vertical clearance and the pier/towers of the stayed section reach a height of 139 m.
  • The deck of the stayed section 38.50 m wide, hosts a double tract section on each side, sidewalks and cycle lanes for pedestrians and bicycles.
