Solar energy
Energy everywhere
One of the most promising energy
IVICSA is very in to development, construction, operation and maintenance of solar power facilities.
We have design and build mainly photovoltaic projects for private investors who then sell the energy to the national electric network.
Besides private investors, many public infrastructures are in need of power.
WHAT IS SOLAR ENERGY?
Solar energy is that produced by the photovoltaic energy and its solar thermal for the generation of electricity or the production of heat.
Inexhaustible and renewable, since it comes from the Sun, solar energy is harnessed using panels and mirrors.
WHY USE SOLAR ENERGY?
IT PROVIDES HEAT
It provides heat tapped by mirrors that focus sunlight on a receiver. The heat transforms the fluid into steam which moves a turbine and produces electricity.
IT PROVIDES LIGHT
Photovoltaic panels are formed by groups of cells or solar cells that convert light (photons) into electrical energy (electrons).
BENEFITS OF SOLAR ENERGY
AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE
Renewables do not emit greenhouse gasses in energy generation processes.
IT IS INEXHAUSTIBLE AND RENEWS ITSELF
Clean energies are just as available as the sun from which they originate and adapt to natural cycles, hence their name “renewables”.
NON-CONTAMINATING
Solar energy does not emit toxic substances or contaminants into the air, and does not generate waste or contaminate water unlike fossil fuels and nuclear power plants.
INCREASINGLY COMPETITIVE
Nowadays renewables, specifically wind and photovoltaic, are cheaper than conventional energies in much of the world.
Economies of scale and innovation are already resulting in renewable energies becoming the most sustainable solution.
CREATES WEALTH AND JOBS
Solar energy is a “native” energy. It is available practically everywhere on the planet, which contributes to reducing energy imports and creating wealth and local employment.
SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC ENERGY
Electricity generated by solar photovoltaic panels is inexhaustible and does not pollute, for this reason it contributes to sustainable development as well as favoring local employment.
WHAT IS SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC ENERGY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Solar photovoltaic energy directly converts sunlight into electricity, using a technology based on the photovoltaic effect.
When radiation from the sun hits one of the faces of a photoelectric cell, it produces an electric voltage differential between both faces that makes the electrons flow between one to the other, generating an electric current.
BENEFITS OF PHOTOVOLTAIC ENERGY
Electricity generated through solar photovoltaic panels is inexhaustible and clean. It contributes to sustainable development in three different areas: economic, social, and environmental.
